Data Streaming

« Back to Glossary Index

Data streaming refers to the ability of a performance monitoring or management tool to ingest, normalize, and analyze continuous event data in real-time. Most application performance management (APM) or AIOps tools that “stream” data don’t actually support realtime ingestion and processing of continuous event data but do so in near realtime, which is typically sufficient to achieve mission-critical service levels.
